Chamfering of ITO Glass for Standard Resistive Touch Screens

1.6.2026

We would like to inform you about an update regarding the ITO glass used in our standard resistive touch screen models. Currently, the ITO glass for some models includes chamfered edges and corners, while for other models, this feature is not present. Moving forward, we will standardize the use of both types of ITO glass across all our standard products. Please review the following details and inform the relevant parties.

1. Affected Products

Product Name: Standard Resistive Touch Screens
Affected Series: QST, LST, FST, MTR, MTR-G

  • * Products with model numbers beginning with the above series identifiers are affected.
    Examples: QST-150A075H, LST-156WC080C, FST-T150C110A, MTR-G070WB070A., etc.
  • * This will also apply to the above touch screens used in touch module products (touch screen bonded on a display) with model numbers beginning with TK or TL.

2. Reason

The differences in chamfering of the ITO glass are due to variations in the glass-cutting processes between in-house and outsourced production. To mitigate procurement risks, we will make both in-house and outsourced processed glass usable for all standard models.

3. Regarding Product Drawings

For the drawings of the affected models, the following note will be included: “Edges and corners of ITO glass may be chamfered without affecting product specifications.“

Additionally, any indication of chamfer on corners will be removed from the drawings.

4. Implementation Schedule

Depending on procurement circumstances, we will start using either type of glass – whether or not chamfered on edges and corners- for the standard models, as needed.

If you have any questions, please contact our sales representative. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
